About Us

At Balam Films, we create documentaries and high-impact videos with the same level of care, intention, and craft. These two segments form the core of our work.

Based in Montreal, our team of creatives and professionals is passionate about partnering with others to drive impact through storytelling and compelling video content.

Our work is rooted in sensitivity, listening, and contextual understanding. We see video as more than content — it is a communication tool, a vehicle for awareness, a lever for action, and a driver of tangible impact.

  • Our signature lies in our expertise: producing high-caliber commissioned nature documentaries for national and international NGOs, alongside short-form, engaging event, cultural, and outdoor videos.

We have built the capacity to efficiently allocate our resources, allowing us to manage long-form documentary projects from development to distribution, while also delivering fast, impactful content on shorter timelines.

At the heart of this dual approach are our core values: a deeply human connection with every project and collaborator, client satisfaction, fluid communication, inspired creativity, and uncompromising technical excellence.

  • We operate with the most current industry practices and production workflows, ensuring both creative excellence and operational reliability. From concept development to final delivery, our process is structured, transparent, and collaborative.

Clients consistently value our strength in communication and our close guidance from brief to delivery. We place ourselves in their shoes, fully invested in translating their vision and strategic objectives into films that are powerful, refined, and emotionally resonant.

    We don’t just execute projects.
We shape stories our partners are proud to stand behind.

  • Balam Films is a collective of creative talents based between Québec and France, bringing together expertise across the entire production chain — writing, cinematography, field production, editing, color grading, and sound mixing.

This transatlantic structure supports the international scope of our work. We regularly operate across continents — from the Pacific to North America and Europe — adapting to diverse cultural, environmental, and institutional contexts while maintaining a consistent level of artistic and technical excellence wherever we film.
